Have you ever effectively used prayer yourself trying to create a specific result?

I hope you’ll share your experience or disbelief on the subject as a concept, if nothing else.

I’ve done this and, for now, I will chalk it up to coincidence, or that we really do command the universe as in the book The Secret, i.e. the law of attraction:

When someone asks what your passion is in life, the energy that drives that passion is driven by one’s natural sex drive. If you have sex all the time, you lose interest and motivation in achieving your goals since that sexual energy is lost. Before you say ‘The Duke Authur Wellesley Wellington, everybody knows that’, read on. On a night in June 1815 it had rained and with an army of British, Dutch, Belgium and German forces facing him Napoleon waited for the battlefield to dry out before attacking. This happened about 2:00pm and the battle started. In the meantime Napoleon had sent part of his army to fight the Prussians elsewhere and keep them out of the battle. The French had the Prussions in retreat but their commander Gebhard Leberecht Bluche said in effect ‘Why are we running away from these bastards’ and turned his army around and beat the hell out of the French.
By 7:00pm the battle was goind very bad for Wellington and he was heard to say ‘tonight Napoleon will have my bones’ but suddenly Bluche, with his Prussion army, came ‘riding over the hill’ and attacked the French left flank. This turned the tide of the battle and allowed Wellington to defeat the French. So I say that it was Bluche that won the war. Right??
